The Beatles Yellow Submarine Zippo Lighter
The Beatles caused a revolution in the pop music world in the 1960s and their influence remains with us even today. Featuring John Lennon, Paul McCarthen, Ringo Starr and George Harrison, the fab four from Liverpool in England created a musical sensation with a wide range of styles. Their lyrics encompassed a variation of themes, from the poetical Hey Jude to the highly unusual I am the Walrus. They are depicted here on this Beatles Yellow Submarine Lighter in a picture from their 1968 cartoon animation. Yellow Submarine was a psychedelic journey to Pepperland, where the Blue Meanies had taken power. With a built-in dislike of music, the Blue Meanies were trying to keep the people of Pepperland under a dark oppression which resulted in turning the inhabitants to stone. Our musical heroes decided to go to the aid after the Yellow Submarine arrived in Liverpool requesting help.
